Medical Centre Stormwater Discharge

This project involved obtaining a discharge permit from Environment Canterbury for a site in Rolleston (Selwyn District) to discharge stormwater from roof areas and other hard surfaces such as the car park, in association with a medical centre. The project required liaison with a civil engineer who designed the stormwater management system. All operational discharge was to ground via a new soak pit. Runoff from the trafficable hardstand area was designed to be collected in sumps with trapped outlets and then treated by a Filterra Stormwater System. This discharge permit was successfully granted by Environment Canterbury with no further information requested from Council.
