Meet The Team

Allie Mulholland

Planning Director

Allie has experience preparing and managing resource consent applications at both a district and regional level throughout New Zealand, along with experience processing consents on behalf of councils, which provides valuable insight into council processes and decision-making. Her experience includes providing strategic planning advice to clients, and managing complex projects involving multiple stakeholders, technical disciplines, and planning frameworks.

Growing up in rural Taranaki, Allie maintains strong ties to the region and regularly returns to visit family and friends. Outside of work, Allie enjoys playing pickleball and netball, running, and exploring local cafés and coffee spots.

While based in Christchurch, Allie frequently travels throughout New Zealand where required and regularly undertakes projects across Canterbury, Otago, Southland, Tasman, and Taranaki. Her experience working with councils throughout the country enables her to provide practical and effective planning advice tailored to each region.

Chris Pearse-Smith

Principal Planner

Chris has more than eight years of planning experience, working with private sector clients as well as central, regional, and local government agencies. His expertise includes resource consenting, plan changes, spatial planning, and providing strategic planning advice.

With extensive experience across residential, commercial, heritage, and healthcare developments, Chris has a strong understanding of subdivision and development processes. He has also worked on a range of large-scale infrastructure projects, including telecommunications and renewable energy developments. Chris is highly experienced in hearing processes, having represented both local authorities and private clients in resource consent and other local government hearings.

Chris spends much of his time between Dunedin and Wānaka and regularly works with clients throughout Canterbury, Otago, Southland, and Taranaki. He focuses on providing practical planning advice and resource consent support across a wide range of projects.

Outside of work, Chris enjoys playing golf, hiking in New Zealand’s great outdoors, and following all things sport.
