Founded in 2024, Altra Planning is an innovative boutique planning consultancy offering specialist expertise with a personal touch and the attention to detail our clients deserve. Backed by extensive experience across New Zealand's planning framework, we provide clear, practical and tailored advice aligned with our clients' goals. Altra Planning assists in obtaining resource consent for various projects. The different types of consents we prepare include subdivision consents, land use consents (multi-unit developments, earthworks, activities etc), discharge permits, water permits and coastal permits. Other applications we prepare include change/cancellation of conditions (s127), as well as outline plans and waivers.
Altra Planning can provide feasibility assessments and advice for projects to outline what is involved and identify any potential obstacles from a planning perspective. This is especially valuable if you are considering purchasing a property specifically for development purposes.
Altra Planning can prepare certificate of compliance applications for sign off from council to provide you with an extra level of security and certainty in relation to your project, particularly in light of changing planning frameworks.
Altra Planning can prepare planning submissions on your behalf, whether it be in response to a Plan Change or a notified development or activity.
Altra Planning can provide representation through hearings, mediation, and Environment Court processes to help guide you through often complex planning matters. Altra Planning can provide spatial planning services to support developments and land use initiatives, helping clients navigate and respond to upcoming planning reform changes.
Altra Planning can assist with plan change processes to help facilitate development opportunities and provide greater flexibility for your site. We can guide you through the process from initial feasibility through to lodgement, consultation, and hearings to help achieve the best possible outcome.
Altra Planning can provide expert advice on designation processes, including obtaining outline plan approvals for works within existing designations and preparing notices of requirement to establish new designations for future infrastructure and development projects.
